Job Overview
Dasvandh Network is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our small but mighty team as Operations Manager with a focus on Finance, Data, and Technology. This pivotal role reports to the Executive Director and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from managing day-to-day operations and finance-related tasks to supporting technology and data initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, demonstrating the ability to not only manage day-to-day operations but also play a key role in shaping the organization’s operational strategies and processes in line with long-term goals. This person is highly driven, organized, technologically savvy, and demonstrates a self-starter mentality.
Responsibilities
Finance:
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
- Conduct daily financial oversight, including transaction monitoring, bank reconciliations, and check issuance
- Oversee distributions to our nonprofit partners
- Handle vendor payments and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Coordinate annual accounting processes, including preparation for audits, 990 filings, and 1099 issuance
- Assist in processing annual business registrations and other compliance related registrations
Data and Technology:
- Utilize Excel and data dashboards to manage, analyze, and visualize donation data, contributing to insightful business reporting
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues, maintaining operational continuity
- Play a proactive role in supporting new tech and website projects in collaboration with the web developer and Executive Director
- Stay updated on technological advancements to propose solutions that enhance operational efficiency
General Operations:
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to ensure alignment of operational, financial, and technological activities with strategic goals
- Actively contributes to the development and implementation of operational strategies, optimizing workflows and processes
- Regularly update the Executive Director on operational progress and participate in key decision-making processes
- Provide support in organizing and executing key business activities, including annual in-person meeting and any other team travel
- Tackle additional operational duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Donor Relations:
- Troubleshoot donor and partner inquiries to ensure a positive experience
- Coordinate creation and distribution of thank you cards and gifts to donors, fostering donor appreciation and loyalty
- Engage in additional donor relations activities as needed
Assist in organizing and executing online events and fundraising campaigns as needed
Qualifications:
- Between 3-5 years of work experience in operations, finance, technology, data, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven experience in finance operations and technology-related roles
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience working in a nonprofit environment is preferred
- Experience with website management
- Self-motivated, adaptable and entrepreneurial, with a proven ability to work virtually
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
Location
This is a full-time remote position. Candidates must be located in the U.S.
Salary
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
