We are the National Sikh Alliance (NSA), an organization committed to empowering Sikh youth and developing a stronger, more tight-knit rapport amongst youth in our community. We believe that with your support, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of Sikh youth.
Value: The Sikh community has a rich cultural heritage and a strong commitment to social justice, equality, and service. However, we recognize that Sikh youth often face unique challenges in today's rapidly changing world; from navigating their identity and combating Western cultural assimilation to overcoming a lack of ethnocultural and ethnolinguistic identity praxis, our youth need guidance, support, and platforms to thrive.
The inspiration behind the Sporting and Recreational branch of NSA came from Guru Angad Dev Ji Maharaj. One of the most famous expressions of strength in the Sikh tradition is the Mal Akhara, an institution started by Guru Angad Dev Ji during his time in Khadur Sahib.
Not only did Guru Angad Dev Ji instill the penship of Gurmukhi in the youth, thus refining education, he made sure he encouraged the discipline of being physically fit.
The strength of any community lies in its youth. By empowering Sikh youth, we are investing in a generation that will contribute to the betterment of society at large. When we provide opportunities for sports, mentorship, leadership development, and cultural preservation, we foster a community that embraces its heritage, roots, and identity.
Budget and timeline: We understand transparency is crucial in building trust with our supporters. That's why we have developed a well-thought-out plan with a clear budget and timeline. Budget: $25,000 | Timeline: 12 months.
Here's a brief overview:

Leadership and Mentorship Initiatives: NSA will launch leadership development programs that empower Sikh youth to become confident, compassionate, and capable leaders. We will establish mentorship networks to provide guidance and support. Budget: $20,000 | Timeline: 9 months.
Community Outreach and Awareness: We will organize sporting events, workshops, and campaigns to raise awareness about Sikhi, promote Sikh discourse & dialogue, and combat prejudice and domestic discrimination. Budget: $15,000 | Timeline: 6 months.
