We feel that technology can play a key role in spreading the message of the Sikh Gurus to the masses. We have seen worldwide adoption of apps made by Khalis Foundation across the globe by every demographic, including the youth and the elderly, as well as “non-Punjabi speaking” users. Apps are designed in a way to provide access to Punjabi and English interpretations, allowing everyone to benefit from the functionality.
Our current projects include Sundar Gutka (the #1 Sikh app in the world with over 100,000 Daily Active Users), SikhiToTheMax (Web & Desktop which is used in hundreds of Gurdwaras across the world), BaniDB (the most accurate database of Gurbani), 3 different children’s books (over 3,000 copies in circulation), vidhia.com (a collection of many rare and out-of-print books), and more. In addition, we also provide scholarships, hosting, web services, and tech consulting for other Sikh organizations.
We are seeking your help to help us further use technology to do parchar for the Panth. We are excited about our recent innovations and we’ve got even more excitement in store for the upcoming projects.
We’ve also got great momentum. With a full-time developer, we will be able to work on features such as -
1) Multimedia integration with our suite of applications
2) Integration with home automation devices
3) Continue improving English translations, add 2-3 new transliteration languages
4) Continue organizing hackathons
