Background

Nād Music Institute is excited to bring you Salok Mahalla Nauvan, for the first time in 15 raags sung by female kirtanees on traditional instruments (rabab, saranda, sarangi, dilruba, taus, jori, and pakhavaj).

For this project, the team at Nād Music Institute will involve expert female musicians (kirtanees), use world-class recording studios, and create a unique Salok Mahalla Nauvan album.

Deliverables

The melodious audio recordings of this project, Salok Mahalla Nauvan (Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s saloks), will be made available to sangat free of cost across the globe on all major streaming platforms, such as Gurbani Media Center, SoundCloud, Amazon Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, JioSavn, Pandora, etc. We aim to release this on International Women's Day on March 8th, 2024.

Additionally, Nād Music Institute will release a book with original composition details in 15 raags to the sangat. This will complement the launch of the album as it will allow sangat to listen to and understand the intricacies of these beautiful compositions and help them appreciate the essence of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s saloks.

Budget

To bring this project to life, we need your support. The estimated budget for this project is $55000 USD, and we are counting on the generous donations of the sangat to help us make this project a reality. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in making this project a success and allowing us to share the beauty of Salok Mahalla Nauvan with the sangat.

Please donate generously and help us bring this project to the sangat. Together, we can make this happen and spread the message of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s saloks to every corner of the globe.
