United Sikh Movement (USM) strives to strengthen the Sikh community by building a structural foundation, providing a variety of resources, and presenting networking opportunities for Sikh Students Associations. We provide Sikh youth structure to further their Sikhi through naam, seva, sangat, and academics. They develop crucial leadership skills through various Sikhi-oriented conferences, camps, classes, and trainings. We also unite Sikh youth through comprehensive community building, philanthropy, and political organization.
Let’s work together to build leaders and further Sikhi through Naam and Seva within Sikh youth!
We're thrilled to have seen our organization grow quickly and make an impact on so many Sikh youth in California and beyond. We have some exciting plans to continue this momentum and continue furthering Sikhi in collaboration with universities across North America, but we need to be able to support staff and programming to do so!

Background
United Sikh Movement came to life when a group of students wanted to make SSA a productive home for Sikh youth. SSA's have been around since the 60s, but they have lacked a withstanding purpose and sense of unity. These students reached out to SSA presidents and in a short time, they mobilized for unity, and more importantly, for a movement. Currently, for the first time in California history, a single organization has successfully created a headquarters for the SSAs!
