For generations, Sikhs have practiced dasvandh, giving a tenth of what we earn back to the community. It's one of the most beautiful parts of our tradition, and it rests on trust: when you give, your gift should go toward the people and causes it was meant for.

In 2012, Dasvandh Network was built on that trust. We created a place where Sikhs could give to vetted organizations doing work aligned with Sikh values, and we made a decision that set us apart: zero platform fees. Not for donors, not for partners, not ever.

Today, that commitment moves $2.5 to 3.5 million every year to more than 100 nonprofit partners, from civil rights defense to education, seva, and humanitarian relief.

But zero platform fees doesn't mean zero cost.

Behind every gift is work most donors never see. Accountants and auditors keep our books clean and our 501(c)(3) status strong. State registrations let Sikhs across the country give legally. The platform has to be secure, receipts have to go out, and questions have to be answered. A small team makes all of it happen.

Most giving platforms cover these costs by taking a share of every donation. We chose a different path. We're asking a small group of people to carry them, so the rest of the community never has to.
