About Khalsa Aid

Founded in 1999, Khalsa Aid International is a global humanitarian organization founded upon the Sikh principle of “sarbhat da bhalla” - the well-being of all. Khalsa Aid provides humanitarian support and disaster relief support to communities all across the globe regardless of race, religion, caste, and gender.

Khalsa Aid USA was formally established in January 2019. Khalsa Aid USA follows the same mission of Khalsa Aid International and has primarily focused on American underserved communities such as the homeless, lower income families, women, veterans, victims of abuse, etc. 

Punjab Flood Relief

On July 10, 2023, Khalsa Aid coordinated emergency relief efforts in the recently flood-ravaged regions of Panjab. Torrential rain has caused havoc across several cities in Punjab. Increased waterlogging has uprooted trees, flooded homes, and closed and damaged major roads in several affected areas. Rescue efforts are underway after thousands of people were stranded in their villages without food or shelter.

Khalsa Aid has mobilized teams on the ground in Ropar, Morinda, Patiala, Rajpura, Sirhind Fategarh and Jalandhar to assess the needs of those impacted by the floods. The priority is to save lives; our teams are rescuing people stranded in villages. The second priority is to ensure those that are safe have access to essential items such as Langar (hot food) and clean drinking water. We also have teams working around the clock with local suppliers to secure vital aid supplies.

Khalsa Aid has time-and-time again been on the frontlines to provide humanitarian aid in disaster areas and conflict zones. Their wide network of volunteers around the world work incredibly hard to help those who need it the most in moments of crisis.
