Camp Kudrat is an annual camp for Sikhs (18+) to gather in sangat, learn and experience Sikhi regardless of where they are in their journey towards Maharaj. Camp is needed space for college aged youth to support and guide one to the next level in their Sikhi, getting closer to Maharaj. .Whether that's learning the Guru's names or experiencing Maharaj, or learning from parchaariks and gursikhs, this space has a lot to offer in learning and growing one's Sikhi. Removing doubts and experiencing Sikhi is vital in getting closer to Guru Sahib, but there aren't many mediums where Sikhs can get their answers from. Camp is a space to have these doubts and questions answered and have the opportunity to learn from great parchariks and our peers.
United Sikh Movement strives to make each event as accessible as possible for its attendees, and fundraises to cover 70 percent of the cost of attendance. Donors can help fund camp speakers and parchaariks, camp site costs, langar and camper activities. Many of the great parchariks are from the UK, Canada, and all around the world. Funding is used to make sure that these parchaariks and their knowledge is made accessible to Sikh youth by covering their travel costs to attend camp. We are expecting between 100-200 Sikh youth to be attending Camp Kudrat 2020 and funding will be used to support these students in attending, and securing camp sites to support these many campers.
Donate today to contribute to maintaining a space where Sikh youth can connect to Maharaj, explore Sikhi, and learn from great parchaariks within our Kaum, during the foundation years of their adult life.
*Camp is scheduled to take place in person in May 2021, as long as it is safe for gatherings to be held. If COVID continues into Spring 2021, camp will be postponed until it is safe to hold this space and funds will be used then. If camp is unable to be held in person throughout Spring-Summer of 2021, an online version of camp will be offered.
