On September 9th, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security shared an AI-generated image of a Sikh trucker that included the text "Get off our roads, you don't know how to drive Mr. Singh." A few days later, a Sikh trucker was viciously attacked and stabbed while at a rest stop in Wyoming. While the motive in that specific case remains under investigation, the political climate against Sikh and immigrant truckers cannot be ignored; we have seen time and again that fear-mongering rhetoric and discriminatory policies from the highest levels of government can have real consequences.
