Background
The school caters for nearly 300 children from nursery up to 16 years old and is located in a high poverty area, offering the children an education they otherwise could not afford. There are around 20 teachers employed and the curriculum has been broadened to cover higher secondary education.
Due to the school’s progression there is now an urgent need for further development. This project consists of equipment and installation of 25 computers and computer furniture.This project will give these students the opportunity to be in line with the rest of their peers in todays digital age. The need for each child to be interactive with computers from a young age is paramount in ensuring they are given equal opportunities in the future.
Budget
A breakdown of costs are included in the attached quotation, but the total amount is for computers and lab equipment is 6,57,050 INR, approximately $10,000.
