A Historic Movement
Empowering Sikh Women to Lead through Guru's Shabad & Music
For the first time ever, 31 accomplished female Kirtaniyas will unite in Punjab and Delhi to sing and amplify the universal legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji through his Shabads - a traveling Kirtan tour across 9 cities, historic sites and colleges during this 350th commemorative year.
To extend the impact and preserve this moment in Sikh women's history, we are producing a documentary with Sunny Dhinsey, a renowned UK film director - a feature film to highlight the universality of Sikh Spirituality and the role of Sikh music in today's world, through the voices of Sikh women in GAAVANI.
OUR ASK: We have extended our fundraising timeline through November in order to complete funding for the tour and documentary. The impact of this global project is huge for Sikh women and we need Sangat's generosity to ensure this legacy project has the largest impact.
