OUR GROWING IMPACT

As you know, you can establish a portfolio of giving on Dasvandh Network across numerous social causes rooted in transparency. Our vision continues to be for all Sikhs to give in support of high-impact activism aligned with Sikh values that are addressing challenges facing Sikhs and our broader communities. 

Thanks to your support, we’re continuing to grow our impact every year. Last year, we fundraised $2M for our 60+ partners! That was by far the strongest year we’ve had so far. The matching fund played a huge role for us to get there. In addition to campaigns we did throughout the year, we raised $500K in total donation pledges in DasvandhWeek alone.

DASVANDHWEEK 2021 PERFORMANCE

Our theme last year was “Amplify Your Giving”. In addition to the overall pledges, here are interesting stats that speak to the positive impact the fundraiser had:

• $500K in total pledges raised in 10 days 
• $3 raised for every $1 contributed to the match fund
• 51% growth in pledges in 2021 compared to 2022
• 50 organizations raised funds during the 10-day period
• 200+ recurring donations were set up

DASVANDHWEEK 2022 GOALS & REQUEST

This year, we want to demonstrate the POWER OF GIVING to our wider community. With support from match fund donors like you, we aim to raise $700,000 in pledged donations for our 60+ partners in the 10 days of DasvandhWeek 2022. 

To do so, can we count on your support again this year? Again, every dollar you contribute will be used by DVN to inspire an additional $3 from the wider sangat - a powerful opportunity to make a tremendous impact across the board.

Dasvandh Network aims to be a donor’s “portfolio of giving,” rooted in transparency and to inspire giving across numerous social causes. Ranging from funding the education of a child to raising money for oxygenators during worldwide crisis to furthering social justice causes, your dasvandh makes an impact in our community. Our impact is growing:

HOW THE MATCH FUND IS USED + ITS IMPACT

Historically, DVN has used match funds only during DasvandhWeek, our annual 10 days of giving. The match fund allows us to match 1:1 a donor’s donation on our platform during our matching campaigns. The match fund in particular is now used throughout the year with strategic campaigns with our partner organizations and during our annual fundraising week, DasvandhWeek every November.

In the last year and a half, we’ve expanded using the match fund to strategic campaigns throughout the year. As a result, we’ve raised more than than $500K for causes like: 

• Fundraising for food for thousands of families when the pandemic hit 
• 400+ oxygenators for India to help save lives 
• Expand capacity to provide more support for domestic violence within our community
• Fund the education of children in underserved and rural communities in India

We use our match fund throughout the year to amplify the impact to the organizations and projects we serve. Our platform becomes a tool for our partner organizations or projects to be introduced to thousands of donors likely interested in their causes, attracting donors with a way to double their impact. We aim to be the hub of online giving with our DVN platform and the matching incentive has played an instrumental role in the growth we are experiencing.  

DASVANDHWEEK 2021 GOALS + YOUR HELP 

This year we have set our sights high to AMPLIFY OUR IMPACT to the next level. We aim to have $500,000 in pledged donations in the 10 days of DasvandhWeek 2021. This would have an astounding impact for Sikh activists as well as the larger Sikh community as a whole. To do that, we estimate that we need to secure our largest match fund yet. Can we count on your support to help us catalyze fundraising efforts for our Sikh activists and their causes?
