Khalsa Children's Center is a vision to create a rich cultural learning environment for Sikh American children in Los Angeles—one that celebrates identity, community, and connection. Our goal is to develop a high-quality dual-language early childhood program that fosters fluency in both Punjabi and English while nurturing curiosity and confidence. This project matters because it provides Sikh children an enriching and inclusive learning experience, helping them thrive socially and academically, supports working families, and helps preserve our language and heritage for future generations. Donor support will help us compensate qualified educators, build vibrant classrooms and play spaces, provide engaging bilingual materials, and grow a community of families and educators who embrace diversity, bilingualism, and steward our future generations.

February 2026 Update
Big news: We've secured a wonderful location right next to the Khalsa Care Foundation Gurdwara! This spot feels like the perfect home for our program. With generous seed funding from family members, we've begun small but meaningful renovations to make the space bright, safe, and ready for little learners.
Right now, our top priority is finding the right teacher (or teachers!) to join us on this journey. We're actively spreading the word through our networks, posting the job description, and reaching out to passionate early childhood educators who share our vision of a play-based, immersive Punjabi learning environment.
Our goal is to launch a preschool program by August 2026. Your support means the world as we move into this next phase. Whether it's through additional donations to help with renovations, supplies, or curriculum materials, spreading the word, or even volunteering time to help us get the classrooms set up. We'll keep you posted with more updates as things progress.
