Khudrang Roots is a student-led initiative empowering students, especially those in the West, to design and lead meaningful projects that contribute to Panjab’s recovery and long-term growth while developing their own leadership and career skills.

Rooted in seva and collective responsibility, we unite Sikh student-run organizations to transform creativity, passion, and fundraising into tangible impact for Panjab. We’re going to take steps towards change instead of just talking about it.

This summer, our team will travel to Panjab to listen before we build. By meeting with village leaders, families, educators, and grassroots changemakers, we aim to understand social inequities, economic instability, public health concerns, and systemic barriers directly from those experiencing them. We refuse to impose ideas from afar. Instead, we are committed to grounding every future project in lived experience, local insight, and long-term sustainability.

Our vision is to establish a lasting platform where students worldwide can design, fund, and implement community-informed projects that create change.
