There is an important unmet need in our community. Many Sikh adults (especially those born in the Diaspora) understand spoken Punjabi but don't know Gurmukhi script - the script in which Siri Guru Granth Sahib is written.
Our Project
This project offers online free professional classes to those interested to learn Gurmukhi from English. It is accomplished through 10 zoom lectures over 5 consecutive weekends. At least two batches will be offered per year. We expect the demand for these classes to be quite high and will offer them more frequently as our capacity to offer them increases.
Join Our Online Classes
To join the classes, the student must be:
- at least 16 years of age,
- understand spoken Punjabi, and
- read and write English well.

Your Support is Needed
These free online classes are offered by volunteer professional teachers who do Seva and take no financial compensation. Funds collected wil be used for acquring technology and software to record, edit, and transmit the classes by Zoom as well as preparation of online and print educational resources.
