Puerto Rico is in a state of emergency, suffering tremendous devastation from Hurricane Maria. Over 95% of the infrastructure has collapsed, including basic access to power and water. With torrential rains nearly everyday, there have been countless floods, landslides and washouts to even those homes and structures that were still standing. I has been 5 weeks since Hurricane Maria and there is still no power!

Puerto Rico needs our help, now!

Immediately after the Hurricane, the UNITED SIKHS Disaster Relief team mobilized in the most remote areas of Puerto Rico. Coordinating efforts with FEMA, Red Cross and the Coalition of Hope, our team has cooked and delivered thousands of hot meals and delivered aid supplies to the elderly and children. With full faith in Akaal Purakh, our team even lead a successful effort to restore fresh water to over 50,000 people in the remote areas of Utuado and Lares. With three fully operational basecamps setup across the island through the partnership of EDP University, we are requesting additional donations and volunteers to continue this effort and let the light of Guru Nanak shine forth to "Recognize the Human Race as One."
