  Quarterly Donor Update – August 2026

  

  SIKHLENS ANIMATIONS (AI INITIATIVE)

  Thank you for your continued encouragement and support. Since our last update in February, Sikhlens Animations has raised over $117,000 through your generosity, and we have continued to make steady progress across multiple fronts — expanding our AI-assisted animation initiative to bring Sikh history, heritage, and philosophy to children, families, and classrooms worldwide.
   
  MAJOR PRODUCTION UPDATES

  Saka Sirhind (Chhote Sahibzade)
  The English and Punjabi versions of the film have now been completed and released, with the Hindi version nearing completion. These multilingual releases are allowing us to reach Sikh families and educational institutions across the globe.

  Beyond production, we have also invested heavily in promoting the film. To date, Saka Sirhind has reached 88,100 views in Hindi and 13,000 views in English on YouTube. To support the release, our team created one trailer, 21 images and three infographics, several movie posters, 28 short clips, a YouTube thumbnail, and an AI-generated introduction — a total of 164 posts across Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. These efforts reached 169,900 people, generating 4,900 engagements at a 3.30% engagement rate. This growing reach shows that your support is funding not only the creation of these films, but also the outreach that carries them to families and classrooms around the world.
   
  Proud to Be a Singh & Proud to Be a Kaur
  Development is actively underway with author Sandip Kaur Sodhi, who is expanding the story to support a stronger animated narrative combining both children's books into a single animated short. Script development is in progress, with alignment now in place on runtime, voiceover direction, and music resources, moving the project from concept into active production. The film is designed to inspire confidence, identity, and Sikh values in the next generation.
   
  NEW PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT

  Our animation pipeline continues to grow through collaborations with Sikh authors, educators, historians, and storytellers around the world.

  Current projects under active development include:
   
  A Place That Waited — an AI-animated short film telling the remarkable story of the restoration of Gurdwara Patshahi Chhevin in Lahore, a historic gurdwara associated with Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji that remained abandoned for decades after Partition. Voice recording is now underway, with animation production beginning shortly. The film highlights the preservation of Sikh heritage and the revival of an important chapter of our shared history.
   
  Ik Onkar: The Realm of Oneness — a new educational animation that introduces children to the profound meaning of Ik Onkar, the Mool Mantar, and Guru Nanak's universal message of oneness. Through a magical storytelling journey, children discover the concepts of Naam, Daan, Ishnaan, and the interconnectedness of all creation, making foundational Sikh teachings engaging and accessible for young audiences.
   
  We are also reviewing several additional proposals covering Sikh history, Gurbani, and spiritual teachings as we continue expanding our long-term animation library. Current concepts under consideration include Mool Mantar, The Five Vices, Hukam, Guru Nanak's Udasis, The Three Golden Rules, and other educational films inspired by Gurbani and Sikh philosophy.
   
  EDUCATIONAL & SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH

  Alongside our longer productions, we are creating short-form educational videos adapted for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms. These bite-sized animations help introduce Sikh history and philosophy to younger audiences while encouraging them to explore the full educational films.

  Since our last update in February, we’ve continued to make steady progress across multiple fronts.
  Saka Sirhind (Chhote Sahibzade)
  The Punjabi version has now been released and is live. Work continues on refining and preparing additional language versions for wider reach.
   
  Proud to Be Singh & Proud to Be Kaur
  Development is actively underway. The story is being expanded by the author, Sandip Sodhi, to support a stronger animated narrative. Script development is in progress, with alignment on runtime, voiceover direction, and music resources now in place.
   
  Short Animation Projects
  Projects like The Cosmic Drama of Life and Jewels from Sikh Wisdom continue to move forward, with improvements in AI workflows helping us enhance quality and reduce turnaround time.
   
  Pipeline & Collaboration
  We have begun structuring a more formal animation pipeline, bringing in experienced guidance on scripting, production flow, and creative direction. New collaborations with writers, educators, and musicians are helping strengthen the storytelling.

  Sikhlens Animations (AI Initiative)

  Thanks to your continued support, Sikhlens Animations is moving from concept to creation. With over $107,000 raised, funds are now actively being deployed into production, post-production, and development across multiple animation projects.
   
  What’s Nearing Completion:

  • Saka Sirhind (Chhote Sahibzade) – Our first feature-length animated film is in the advanced stages of production and will be released in English and Hindi, with a planned launch in March–April.
  • The Cosmic Drama of Life – Inspired by Jewels from Sikh Wisdom, this AI-assisted short film is preparing for a global release.
  • Guru Nanak’s Arti – The next short in development, visualizing Guru Nanak’s cosmic vision where the universe itself becomes the prayer.

  What’s in Development:

  We are shaping a series of short-animated films drawn from Gurbani and Sikh philosophy, including:

  • The Five Ego-Driven Vices (lust, anger, greed, pride, attachment)
  • Life’s Ultimate Questions (where we come from, why we are here, where we go)
  • Additional concepts exploring Naam, Hukam, Oneness, and inner wisdom
  • Animation development has also begun around the newly published children’s book Proud to Be Singh & Kaur.

  What’s Next:

  We recently issued a global call for independent Sikh authors and storytellers to collaborate with Sikhlens through small animation grants. The response has been overwhelming, and our team is carefully evaluating which projects to greenlight based on impact and available funding.
