More than 30000 people will come together in Dubai in December 2023 for the Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 28), the biggest and most powerful UN conference deciding on policies and action plans for climate change mitigation. All governments, hundreds of NGOs, businesses, academics, and others will be there, many showcasing their work, ideas, and perspectives.
The Sikh Human Rights Group as a UN Special Consultative Status NGO will be taking nine people to COP 28, including delegates from Nishan-e-Sikhi in Khadur Sahib, Punjab. We will have a stall, distribute leaflets, booklets, and USBs to inform attendees about Gursikhi's perspectives on nature, the work of our Gurus, and the work carried out by Sikhs in the field.
