  As of Q1 2025, we have...

  • Increased our Active SSA Network by 20% since Q1 2024
  • Increased Q4 2024 Conference attendance by ~26% since Q4 2023
  • Onboarded 6 total SSA Coordinators for the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Hired a full-time Executive Director and part-time Operations Director
  • Increased dedicated USM Staff Volunteer Base to 25 members

  Q1 2025 Update!

  Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

  With your continued generosity and by Maharaj's Kirpa, we have been able to expand our programs and team!

  1. With Maharaj's Kirpa and sangat support, we have onboarded our first full time staff - Harsimran Kaur as our Executive Director! Harsimran Kaur and Navdeep Kaur (PT Operations Director) will be working to expand the United Sikh Movement sevas and Sikh Student Association support.

  2. USM increased its Active SSA Network by 20% since Q1 2024. This academic year, USM’s SSA network has expanded to include SSAs outside of California + has captured new and emerging SSAs throughout the nation.
  
  3. USM onboarded 6 total SSA Coordinators for the 2024-2025 academic year, expanding to the East Coast. They are dedicated to supporting our Sikh Student Associations by providing 1-on-1 guidance to student leaders, offering valuable connections to panthic leaders nationwide for speaker panels, and providing organizational templates to streamline SSA operations. Within this year alone, there have been 20+ Inter-SSA events throughout these regions!

  4. USM has Increased Q4 2024 Conference attendance by 26% since Q4 2023! At our Annual USM Conference, we were able to capture 160+ students from 14 universities. In collaboration with Anandpur Institute, we hosted 200+ individuals in Q4 2024.

  5. USM is working with Saving Punjab to coordinate a course for students to learn about the history and current day data of Punjab and host an in-person Think Tank. Students from over 20 SSAs are attending these courses, with 10 universities hosting this course in person!

  Your support has been crucial in creating opportunities for our youth to connect with Sikhi and have access to inspirational sangat in these pivotal years of their life! We are eager to continue our growth, but can only do so through the sangat’s ongoing support.

  2024 Spring Recap!

  Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

  With your continued generosity and by Maharaj's Kirpa, we have been able to expand our programs and team!

  1. Maharaj's Kirpa, we welcomed Navdeep Kaur as our Operations Director. Previously, she successfully established a Sikh Student Association at her university after years of effort, leaving a lasting impact on her local sangat and beyond. Her dedication and leadership have been instrumental in strengthening our initiatives and fostering new sevas within United Sikh Movement.

  2. This past spring, we proudly hosted our inaugural Safal - E - Seva Conference in collaboration with SANYC at UC Berkeley. Leaders from various fields came together to explore how Sikhi has influenced their professional journeys. This conference enriched our programming with new avenues for student and young professional development.

  3. We are thrilled to announce the formation of our new Policy Committee! This dedicated team is poised to advocate for Sikh youth on campuses and in legislative arenas. They will formulate policy positions, execute campaigns, and foster partnerships with campus advocacy groups to amplify our collective within university student governments, campus administration and government legislatures.

  As we move forward into summer, our team is eager to expand the impact of unity and Gurbani in Sikh Student Association spaces across California and beyond. Your support is crucial to sustaining these initiatives and ensuring future generations of students benefit from these valuable resources.
