ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 5 ਕੁ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਜਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੈਫਰੈਡੰਮ 2020 ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਜੇਲ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿਰਫਤਾਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਪੀ ਦਾ ਕਸੂਰ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੰਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੈਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਧਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ , ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਵੰਡਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਰਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਹੀਨਾਵਾਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ

2020 ਦੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।
ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੱਲਣਾ ਫਿਰਨਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੀ ਫੌਰੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ ।
ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਲਦ ਚੱਲ ਫਿਰਨ ਸਕਣ ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ।
ਜੱਜ ਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰਜ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ 28-09-2023 ਮੁਕੱਰਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।
ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਵਕੀਲ ਕੁਨਾਲ ਸਿਆਗ ਤੇ ਵਕੀਲ ਕੁਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ।
ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਰਵਾਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਿਲੀਫ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੱਦਦ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ।

ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਬਾਬਾ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਮਾਨੋਚਾਹਲ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬੀ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਚਤਰਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਮਰ ਕੈਦ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਭੁਗਤ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਟੀ ਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਾਰਜ ਅਗਲੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ (ਅਕਤੂਬਰ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।

ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਔਕੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਪੰਥਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੌਮੀ ਫਰਜ਼ ਹੈ ।

ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਚਤਰਾ ਦੀ ਬੱਚੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਬੱਚੀ ਜਾਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਬੱਚੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ।

Appeal for medical treatments
Ravinder Singh Raja spent 4 years in prison in a false case under the UAPA Act. Currently his wife is undergoing treatment for Kidney stones and a few other ailments.
In 2022, Ravinder Singh Raja was released on bail and is now with his family.
We request the Sangat to support his wife’s medical treatment, so that she can continue with her normal life.

About 20 youths were released from other strict rules on UAPA.

Madam Jaswinder Sheemar in Session Court of Fatehgarh Sahib on Section 153-A, 120-B, Section 17 and Illegal Activities (Prevention) Act, 18 of 1967, Section 25/54/59, of the Arms Act and Section 66-F of the Information and Technology Act, about a dozen of Arms Act U/S25/54/59 of the Information and Technologies Act The youth have been ordered to acquit.

Seven youths were released from UAPA and were fined 5000/- under section 25/54/59 of Arms Act. This punishment was given to Maninderjit Singh alias Manu, Jahanpal Singh, Sarvan Singh, Karamjit Singh alias Bunty, Satnam Singh, Bachitar Singh alias Baba, Gurwinder Singh and (absent, proceedings separated).

Rana Pratap Singh, Kashmir Singh alias Kashmira These youth have been ordered to acquit under section 153-A, 120-B, section 17 of the IPC. And the remaining streams will remain on them, but in this case, PO has been signed.

The names of the young men who have been acquitted are Harvinder Singh, Jatinder Singh, Labh Singh, Dharam Singh, Tajinder Singh, Gurmukh Singh, Baljinder Singh, Kulwant Singh and Gurlal Singh and all these Singhs have been acquitted from all religions.

This case was followed by Sikh Relief and Gurpreet Singh Saini lawyer Sahib was present. The Sikh Relief is reaching the High Court to appeal the seven convicted youths so that they can be cleared of the other parties and bailed.

Cooperation of Sangat needed for education of the grandchildren of Shaheed Singh

Shaheed Bhai Ajit Singh Qadian became the victim of government torture of Punjab Police during the current Sikh struggle. Punjab Police had martyred them in 1992 by making a fake police competition.

Due to the financial weakness in the family, the support of the sangat is needed for the education of Sahjbir Singh and Avneet Kaur, the grandson of Bhai Ajit Singh Qadian, who is still a ninth standard student.

Earlier Sangat had helped Bhai Sahib's family through Sikh Relief and even now we request Sangat's to help the family more to pay school fees for the education of these children of Shaheed family.

Bhai Vikramjit Singh has been detained in referendum 2020 case since October 2018 (nowadays Kapurthala Jail). Their family behind is going through financial hardship. Sangat's cooperation is needed to make their family's life easier.

Sikh Relief is happy to share the news with everyone that Bhai Arvinder Singh aka Mitha Singh has been released from prison today.
He was sentenced to a life sentence in 2020, having been convicted of waging war against the Union States of India without any evidence beyond the possession of books and pictures of historical significance in relation to Sikhi, the current Sikh struggle and the biographies of prominent Sikhs.
Sikh Relief’s Sevadar and lawyer, Parminder Singh Amloh, and Adv Kulwinder Kaur were present to receive him along with Arvinder Singh's mother.
All at Sikh Relief offer our congratulates him and his family on the release of Bhai Arvinder Singh Mitha and remain grateful for the Guru’s infinite Grace.

Dear Sangat jee,

We have had further update from Bibi Rajbir Kaur, a young Sikh sister whose husband has spent several years in Punjab Prison. Though he has come out on bail, the very serious nature of the case and charge remain pending.

Sikh Relief with Sangat’s goodwill has been supporting this family throughout the prison term, for which the family have expressed much gratitude. Naturally the family has suffered a considerable setback with their main breadwinner being locked away for several years.

Rajbir has admirably risen to the challenges the family face, expressing desire and making efforts to address their economic situation, through opportunity for education/training. She has taken admission at National Institute of Nursing Sangrur at B.Sc Nursing. She is currently a 2nd year student.

It is a 2 year course of study which will give her the opportunity to practice in the nursing profession at home or abroad. This will allow the family to find their feet again and eventually become self sufficient for day to day living.

As Sikhs we are constantly encouraged to strive and better ourselves, become independent in every way possible, and contribute thereafter to society, Guru willing.

This step by Rajbir Kaur is commendable. From a Sikh perspective we encourage all young women to progress in their education/ training to secure a positive future. We strongly believe education is the way forward for our vulnerable and targeted community to stand on its own two feet.

Rajbir Kaur has verified that she has not taken up any offer of employment at this point in time and wishes to continue with her studies.

We humbly appeal to Sangat towards offering dasvandh contribution, to this deserved family, helping the Sikh Kaum, to strengthen day by day.

ਭਾਈ ਸਤਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿੰਟੂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਵੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਗਈ ਸੀ । ਸਿੱਖ ਰਿਲੀਫ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੀਨਾਵਾਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ।

ਨਾਭਾ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਭਾਈ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਿਲੀਫ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਮਦਦ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ । ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ । ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੂਹ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਵੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ।

ਰੈਫਰੰਡਮ 2020 ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਲਡੀ, ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਪੀ, ਵਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਰਗਟ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੁਖਮੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੀਤੂ, ਰੂਫਲ ਦੀ ਐਨ ਆਈ ਏ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ 18 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਸੀ ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਰਿਲੀਫ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਕੀਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਪਰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜੱਜ ਦੇ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਤਰੀਕ 23/08/22 ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਗਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਮਰ ਕੈਦ ਭੁਗਤ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਬਿਟੂ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਉਮਰ-ਕੈਦੀ ਭਾਈ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਿਹਾਲਸਿੰਘ ਪਟਿਆਲ਼ੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੀ. ਏ. ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਪੜਾਈ ਲਈ ਐਮ. ਏ. ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

Bhai Satnam Singh sombere during late wife's funeral
~ returned to prison by authorities after 7 days
Bhai Satnam Singh Rasoolpur stood in sombre silence at the funeral service of his Singhni, Bibi Sukhwinder Kaur.
Serving a life sentence in an Uttar Pardesh jail under India's draconian and globally condemned TADA law, Bhai Satnam Singh was given a special bail to attend the funeral after Sikh Relief's Snr Adv, Colin Gonsalves had successfully argued for his freedom at India's Supreme Court.
Bhai Satnam Singh was seen to visit the Gurdwara each day in peaceful serenity for the seven days he was at liberty to, both morning and evening. Thanking Akal Purakh for blessing his returning home after six years, he was grateful to visit the Gurughar as there isn't a Gurdwara in Moradabad Jail.
Being among the children, his family and all friends and relatives gave a huge comfort to him and it was a radiance that he shared and spread among all present.
As Bhai Satnam Singh's time to return to jail approached, the children's smiles were also fading. With tears in theor eyes and lumps in theor throats each person hugged him tight and prayed to the Almighty One for him to return home soon.
Sikh Relief's Bhai Parminder Singh Amloh had spent time with the family also and consoled members during Bhai Sahib's return to jail. Sikh Relief continues to work tirelessly for the freedom of all Sikh Prisoners of Conscience and will forever been indebted to the Guru's Grace and the blessing of the Sangat for their unwavering support.

Gurjeet Singh Nijjar
Detained by the authorities in Cyprus and questioned under the watchful eye of the National Investigation Agency of India, Gurjeet Singh Nijjar was eventually put on a plane and deported.
His wife Rajwant Kaur told Sikh Relief that he was arrested and was taken into custody upon his arrival at Delhi's International Airport 22nd December 2020, he was questioned by the NIA and swiftly taken to Mumbai before eventually being transferred to the custody of the Panjab Police 21st February.
A whirlwind 2 months of darkness, confusion, unfounded allegations, deportation, more accusations and finally being incarcerated at the Ludhiana Jail facility, finds the family of Gurjeet Singh facing the disturbing uncertainty of what will happen to them in the absence of the sole breadwinner of their home.
Whilst Sikh Relief is providing monthly family support to Gurjeet Singh, we are appeal to the Guru Piyari Sadh Sangat Ji to help fight his on going cases in Panjab and Mombi .

Illegally deported from Malaysia
~ Bhai Taranbir Singh and his family's struggle continues

Bhai Taranbir Singh was simply pursuing his dream, as many thousands of Panjabi's before him, to earn enough money to establish financial security for his family in a foreign land as he arrived in Malaysia at the age of 24.

It was going well until he was arrested by Malaysian police in June 2019 and detained for 14 days at the request of the Indian authorities. Only by violating their own immigration laws were the Malaysian police able to hand over Taranbir Singh to the immigration police, detained for a further 45 days, Taranbir Singh was eventually deported to India.

Once deported to India, Taranbir Singh was first interrogated at the Delhi airport and then handed over to the notorious Panjab Police.

The family described how Bhai Taranbir Singh was remanded into the custody of the Panjab Police for 5 days remand after filing a false case under the Prevention of Illegal Activities Act (UAPA) and sent to Amritsar Jail where he remains until today.
