The message of Guru Nanak’s Aartee inspires humanity to appreciate the beauty of life in a deep embrace of trust.
Once asked to write an international anthem for the world, the respected Rabindranath Tagore simply replied: "It has already been written, not only for the world, but for the entire universe." Tagore was referring to Guru Nanak Ji’s Aartee, the festival of light, celebrated in a union of mind and soul. The title Raag given by Guru Sahib is Raag Dhanasri, a melody that frees us from all fears and drenches our consciousness with a deep-rooted sense of trust, confidence and love.
In celebration of Guru Nanak Sahib’s 553rd Gurpurab, Raj Academy wishes to share with the world the blessing of this universal anthem as a teaching, a gift of healing and an inspiration for learning and growth. It is our vision to record Yogi Professor Surinder Singh Ji’s composition of Aartee in the title Raag with the Sikh Tanti Saaj. To uplift the expression of the recording, we strive to produce a music video in the beautiful landscapes of Panjab.
The financial breakdown for our project looks as follows:
$ 2300 professional audio recording and production
$ 1500 professional video recording and production
$ 1200 release, distribution and promotion to share the light of Aartee with the global Sangat
We aim to release the video on Raj Academy’s YouTube channel on November 4th, 2022, so that it can be shared as part of your Gurpurab messages to your loved ones on November 8th. Let’s come together in support of this project and share this message as a candle of light from individual to individual, creating a festival of inner lights around the globe on Guru Nanak Ji’s birthday.
