  A rare collection of Thundering Dawn by Prof Puran

  Naad Pargaas USA released a new book that is a collection of articles that Prof Puran Singh, an eminent Sikh Author of early twentith century, wrote in a news paper called Thundering Dawn, published while his stay in Japan. This rare archival work is a very rare collection that took more than a century to come to light. A lot has gone behind the scenes to make this collection a possibility that included finding the most difficult sources for making this collection. 

   

  We have many such rarest of rare books dusting on the shelves of many archives that can be published for all our future generations.

  Novel Bhagirath released after a century at Harvad

  The first edition of novel Bhagirath authored by Prof. Puran Singh released at Harvard University, MA. This novel was published and released after a century of authorship. The  novel is edited and introduced by Harjot Kaur. The book release event was organized by Naad Pargaas USA in association with Sikhs and Champions of Harvard and Harvard South Asia Institute. The event was attended by Dr. Harpreet Singh from Harvard University, Komal Kaur Dang - Great granddaughter of Bhai Vir Singh and her daughter Amrita Dang, Harjot Kaur, Prof. Jagdish Singh from Naad Pargaas Amritsar, Amandeep Singh from Naad Pargaas USA, and Gurpreet Kaur - Independent Researcher. Nilambri Ghai, Granddaughter of Prof. Puran Singh sent a video message to participate in the event.

  This is yet annother important book published by Naad Pargaas. We at Naad Pargaas believe that investing in knwledge and books is actully an investment in the future of a shared history.   Rare translation of Sundri by Bhai Vir Singh

  
  
  Naad Pargaas USA released a rare translation of the novel Sundri by Bhai Vir Singh at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. This is a translation by Prof. Puran Singh that was undertaken in 1924 but never saw the light of the day since then. This new volume is edited and co-introduced by Harjot Kaur.

   

  Nilambri Ghai, grand daughter of Prof. Puran Singh mentioned that publishing this work has been a long process that was close to her heart. She expressed her gratitude to Harjot Kaur for undertaking rigorous endeavors to launch Sundri in the form it is was being released. She emphasized, “I don’t think there could have been a better and more accomplished
  team to have done this work.” This was followed by her fond and loving appreciation.

   

  Bhai Vir Singh's great-granddaughter Komal Kaur Dang, congratulated the team of Naad Pargaas USA for making efforts in reviving a literary tradition amongst Sikhs both in
  India and amongst diasporic communities. She asked the members of the Sangat to support the endeavors of Naad Pargaas USA.

  New Book released

  A rare collection of letters of Prof. Puran Singh to Bhai Vir Singh is excavated from many archives that is put together and edited by Jaswinder Singh. This is an another indispensible work published by Naad Pargaas. Many of these lettters reflect Prof. Singh's quest for spiritual guidance from Bhai Vir Singh while transcending the boundries of his individual seeking. These letters are rather a reflection of Sikh spirit seeking for inpiration and guidance of highest order. 

   

  Many such rare accounts remain buried under the dust of the archives of many libraries, and their lonely shelves getting dusted and worn out. We are trying to retreve the most from the pages of history and anthology. However, we would need your support to take a deeper plunge into these treasures of ideas and refreshing accounts, before these are permanently lost from Sikh archieves.

  Ik Painda- New Publication in Punjabi Poetry

  In efforts to preserve the tradition intiated by Guru Gobind Singh (who had 52 poets in his court reciting poetry on regular basis) Naad Pargaas published a new book titled Ik Painda in Punjabi Poetry. This book is a refreshing expression that reminds us the significance of creative art in human life. Today when Gurmukhi script is under a seige and Punjabi language is going through a rough patch, unfortunately even in Sikh homes, Naad Pargaas has taken a step ahead to resurrect the importance of language, while undertaking the responsibility to uplift the becon of the light lit by the Gurus. 

     The book IK Painda is authored by our poet Tejinder Singh, who resides in UK. This work is available though printer and distributer Singh Brothers, Amritsar. The senstivity in expression of these poems has flown from Tejinder's pen celebrating life in divine realization. The foreword of the book IK Painda is authored by Prof. Jagdish Singh, Director Naad Pargaas Amritsar.

  Research Paper (upcoming publication)

  Naad Pargaas has undertaken a reserch project to write an essay in upcoming publication from Routledge titled, " The Sikh World". The book is edited by Paushara Singh and Arvind Pal Mandair.

   The book would be released on June 28, 2023. Amandeep Singh (Naad Pargaas USA) has authored the chapter titled "Akal Takht and Sikh activism" in this upcoming publication.

  Book titled Alternative Narratives pubished

  Naad Pargaas has published a new book titled "Alternative Narratives- Culture, Gender, Sacred" by Deepinderjeet Randhawa. The book is a significant contribution interrogating post-modern studies from Sikh lens. It has 16 chapters that accoring to Swaraj Raj (author of the Preface) is an "exploration of marginalities, feminism, and small narratives from oppositional and resisting perspectives".
