The Sovereign of the Sikh nation, Guru Granth Sahib ji, is a singularly unique scripture. It contains the revealed compositions of the Gurus, Bhagats, Sufis and Sikhs from a four hundred year time-span, written in a variety of different languages, dialects and musical styles.

This textbook, the product of years of work, will be the first English book to explore the richness of linguistic and grammatical diversity contained in Guru Granth Sahib ji. We have created this work to be a resource for beginner to intermediate students who can partially or comfortably read Gurmukhi.

Through the tools gained by studying “Guru Granth Sahib: Its Language and Grammar” students will be able to independently create meaningful and accurate interpretations of Gurbani, allowing them to develop a purposeful relationship with the Sabad Guru.

This textbook, with Guru Sahib’s grace, is almost completed, but we need your help to design, print, ship and distribute the book.
