This September, that changes with Sikh Tech Conference.
A Panth of Builders
When Guru Nanak Sahib Ji walked this earth, he didn't just teach, he built. Kartarpur. A community from nothing. A place where people could live, work, and worship as equals.
When Guru Ram Das Ji envisioned a city, the Sikhs dug the sarovar with their own hands. Amritsar rose from dusty land into the spiritual heart of the world. When Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji saw that the Panth needed strength, Sikhs built Akal Takht, a throne of sovereignty, directly challenging the seat of Mughal power.
When Sikhs arrived on foreign shores with nothing, they built Gurdwaras. Then businesses. Then communities. Then entire neighborhoods that became home for generations. We built canals across Punjab. We fed nations. We built regiments that the world respected. We built hospitals, schools, and langars that feed millions to this day.
Building is not something Sikhs do. It is who we are.
And now the world runs on technology. Sikhs are here too — engineering, designing, founding, creating. But we are building in silos. A Sikh engineer at Google has never met the Sikh engineer at Microsoft solving the same problem. A student searching for a mentor doesn't know that a Sikh VP twenty minutes away would say yes in a heartbeat. A sevadaar maintaining a Gurdwara website alone on weekends has never spoken to the team that built SikhiToTheMax.
Thirty years of Sikh talent in technology, and no room where we've all sat together.
This October, that changes.
The Sikh Tech Conference
Khalis Foundation — the team behind SikhiToTheMax, Sundar Gutka, and 30+ open-source tools used by millions of Sikhs worldwide, is bringing Sikh technologists, builders, and community leaders together for one day in California.
Keynotes from Sikh leaders in AI, engineering, and product. Hackathon where students build real tools for the Panth. Workshops on Gurbani and AI, open-source infrastructure, and technology rooted in Sikh values. Community, the relationships that continue long after the conference ends.
This is the Panth's builders, sitting together to do what Sikhs have always done: build.
