Vidhia.com has provided the Sikh community with thousands of books and manuscripts since 2008. Many of these manuscripts/ works are no longer in print and were meticulously gathered and scanned in order to make them available to Sangat. As we look to further expand Vidhia.com and our ultimate goal of democratizing information, it has become clear that handscanning books using traditional scanners is neither scaleable nor good for preservation of rare documents. As such we are asking Sangat to help us fund an overhead scanner which will allow us to scan more books / manuscripts in a safer manner and will produce higher quality scans.
